Project Access is a global community that matches current university students with prospective university students, with the aim of providing the applicants with enough support to successfully access the world’s best universities. Through this peer-to-peer mentorship programme, aspiring applicants are given advice and feedback throughout the entire application process. Some mentors also deliver workshops and talks at schools.
The university application process can be a thankless task that affects thousands of people each year. For students from disadvantaged backgrounds, this process becomes even harder. However, Project Access believes that each capable student deserves a chance at success, and for this reason their mentorship programme is completely free of charge for applicants. Currently the global community is home to over 3,500 mentors and has already helped over 3,050 students. Last year, 71% of the applicants that had a Project Access mentor were accepted into one of their three top choice universities.
